The Portuguese Zeolites Group, CRERG, of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST – Technical University of Lisbon), is organizing a Symposium in honour of Professor Fernando Ramôa Ribeiro, who sadly passed away last year. Professor Ramôa Ribeiro dedicated his life to teaching and researching in the field of catalysis with zeolites. He had an extensive cooperation with several international Laboratories that contributed to the development and strengthening of the European catalysis community and we hopefully expect to gather a large international scientific community of his friends and collaborators, which will enrich the meeting and pay tribute to this great scientist and man. The two days Symposium “Catalysis: From the Active Site to the Process”, covering the following topics: Catalysis in Refining and Petrochemicals; Clean Energy and Pollution Control; Catalysts Preparation and Characterization; and Kinetic Modeling of Catalytic Processes, will be held at IST (Lisbon) on the 8th and 9th October 2012 (http://scrr.ist.utl.pt). |
